Kick the Tick is a brand of anti-tick products offering sprays to repel ticks, flies and mosquitoes as well as instruments and kits for removing ticks in the so-called home environment. Despite the commercial character of the project, its pro-social nature allowed for the use of more direct forms of marketing communication based on slogans and content focused on safety and health protection, prevention and raising awareness of the risk of complications following a tick bite.
The design of the marketing campaign was very wide - from the development of the Key Visual and the campaign slogan ("Pogotowie Kleszczowe"), through the creation of materials for the campaign’s Landing Page and in social media, Google advertisements, to Outdoor solutions. The minimization of the commercial dimension of the action and full focus on the social dimension allowed for the introduction of colloquial language into communication, inspiring trust and being easily understood for virtually every recipient. The designed visual setting attracted the eye with its simplicity and transparency, and at the same time signaled the seriousness and potential threat, arousing the vigilance and interest of the recipients. The commercial value of the action was based on the placement of packshots of the advertised products in promotional
materials, however, placing these images outside the central axis of the graphic materials and their gentle insertion into the background resulted in a clear, but unobtrusive message.
The priority message in each designed graphic material was the importance of protecting your own health and the health of your children and animals. The result was to build recognition and trust in the Kick the Tick brand by associating it with a pro-health social campaign.
